Big Changes Have Come to 4P Forums!

    As you can see, we've made some big changes around here today. Here's a quick outline of what you can expect as you browse the forums:
    • The biggest change is that we are no longer running XenForo, but IPB. We stuck with XF for as long as we could, but development issues, missing features, and lack of updates have led us to convert our forums to a more stable, actively-supported solution. You'll actually find more features with IPB, so take some time to explore and get used to things! (And yes, Erica, you can disable emoticons now.)
    • Members can now have their own blogs. Any registered member can make their own blog for absolutely free, and we're hoping that you use them to chronicle your latest gaming exploits, or if you wish you can just use them as your own personal blog. It's all up to you! Go ahead and create a blog right now!
    • The conversion went better than expected, but we lost attachments (there were only 6 to begin with) as well as several avatars. If you're missing your avatar, just re-upload it, or better yet, use Gravatar!
    This is a great opportunity to invite new people or old members who may have dropped off the radar - this is the perfect time to join or return! Be sure to invite all your friends to the new and improved 4P.

    If you notice anything missing or not working properly, just let me know and I'll fix it ASAP!

    Expect us to add more features in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

    Wait, we can now use smilies without them being bastardized by emoticons? I am a happy camper now. :D

    Overall, the forums look pretty spiffy. :3

    I see that my avatar has been changed to my gravtar avatar. Does IP.B do this by default?

    I think in the conversion that anyone with a Gravatar got changed, and I don't think it converted the others. If you want to change it, you can just go into your options.

    I might be blind but is there an indicator for whether or not you've posted in a thread? :s I don't see one and I use that feature a lot.

    The little icon on the left tells you. If it's chat bubbles (on 4P Gravity) then you've posted in that topic, if it's just a circle you haven't.

    Excellent. :3 I'm a little surprised it's not built-in/enabled by default. o_O Seems like a really common feature to me. (I think my new basis for "common feature" is "well if XF had it..." XD
