I used to love reading when I was a kid. I'd read anything and everything I could find. When I became a teen though, I kind of dropped it in favour of video games and the internet and since then, I read maybe one or two books a year. Recently, though, I've really gotten into it again. I set a goal on GoodReads (a site for tracking and cataloguing your books & progress) to read 25 books this year and I had to up it to 40 the other day since I was almost at my goal and the year wasn't even half over. n_n; So I guess my question is, do you read? If yes, what'cha reading? What are your favourite genres/authors? Got any good recommendations? And if you aren't a big fan of reading, why not? Not enough free time? Just not your thing? I wanna know!
I love reading, but unfortunately I don't do it as much as I used to. I've started reading more books now though - right now I'm re-reading The Silmarillion since I haven't read it in a few years.
I love reading! There is something very relaxing about just sitting outside in the sun with a drink and reading a nice book. I do miss doing it; I have been too busy recently, but I will get back into it soon!
I don't read nearly as often as I would like. Maybe zero to three a year :x I read more as a kid. But now, during the school year there's no time. And now over the summer when I come home from work, there's other things I'd want to do instead. I wanted to read a lot this year. It was my New Year's resolution. I managed only one book so far and I think I've given up on that :c
I read all the time! Forums have got to count for something, right?? I don't usually just pick up a book, but I don't have any problems picking one up. I suppose I enjoy reading, but only when I don't have to be bothered by other people, I'm in the house alone, and I'm comfortable enough to start falling asleep after a while.
I've never been a fan of reading and don't really read at all today. I did like a few books back in high school that reeled me in, it was an amazing feeling.
I tried the simmarillion but gave up on it about half way through. I liked learning the origins of Middle Earth but it dragged on a bit for me.
I hated having to read books when I was a kid. I rather be outside playing with friends or doing something else. Reading just wasn't my thing back then. As I got into seventh grade though, I started picking up the habit of reading. I remember that's when I got into "The Series of Unfortunate Events" and "Hank the Cow Dog." I later slipped a little bit in reading, but I picked it up again as I got into high school and started going to the school library more often with a few of my friends. I still love to read now, but I don't do it as much as I would like to. Probably because I enjoy spending more time online now, but I want to fix that. I'm aiming to read the entire Harry Potter series (I read the first book already, but that was years ago) since I didn't take the chance to read them when I was a kid. My goal is to finish the entire series at least before the year ends, which is pretty possible as long as I stick with it.
I like reading, but I don't read as much as I used to. I'm reading Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade right now, though. I also plan on reading The Sight and Fell by David Clement-Davies in the future.
I used to love reading, but then I totally stopped. I lost the time and the overall interest to read. :(
