I'm really into reading comedies and autobiographies at the moment. Right now I'm reading Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me, but I have a stack of other celebrity books sitting next to my bed that I'll get to eventually lol
I wouldn't say I've gotten back into reading in general lately, but recently I've been obsessed with Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I'm less than a hundred pages away from finishing it, and I'm gonna read Eldest once I'm done. I really like the book, it's the first one to keep me captivated in some time.
I just finished Eragon yesterday, freaking loved it. Now I'm reading Eldest... the beginning ticked me off, since Paolini spent a fair amount of time building up Murtagh - and Ajihad, to an extent - in Eragon, but he kills them off like they're nothing at the beginning of Eldest. It doesn't seem right. :/ I've gotta say, I'm in love with the Inheritance Cycle so far. The only thing I'm sad about right now is that I won't be able to read Brisingr and Inheritance for a few weeks. :/
I'm keeping my New Year's resolution from last year and hope I end up reading more than one book and five audiobooks. Any recommendations folks? I probably won't actually get to reading them, but I'll have a nice hopeful text document on my computer at any rate.
Reading Eragon now...I have Eldest and I'm hoping I get Brisingr for Christmas. I read Eragon years ago but didn't remember too much of it.
I've been reading more as of late. For example, The Brethren by John Grisham - that's pretty good. And I *accidentally* caught the film adaptation of Grisham's A Time to Kill on TV. I should read that someday.
I managed to read my 30 books last year! I'm very proud of myself. I've challenged myself to 30 books this year as well and I'm doing okay. Well, somewhat okay. I've read two books: Binary (by John Lange/Michael Crichton) and Will Grayson, Will Grayson (by John Green & David Levithan). I really enjoyed the latter but the former was just so obviously an early work and it wasn't that great. I'm literally antsy to read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I pre-ordered it and everything but the order was sent to my parents' address so I have to wait until I next go home to get my hands on it and it's killing me. ;__; I think the next thing on my to-read list is just gonna be a few non-fiction math books. *neeerd*
I took a break from the Inheritance cycle after Eldest, simply because Eldest was so freaking boring. I read The Last Hero and The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan, and now I'm back to Brisingr. Going to start it tomorrow.
I finished reading The Hunger Games on Wednesday. :3 Great book. So great, in fact, that I spent all of Thursday night reading Catching Fire, and all of early Saturday morning reading Mockingjay. The Hunger Games trilogy is amazing-- I recommend it to anyone looking for a good story with a lot of action. I'm probably gonna start on the Maximum Ride series soon.
