Hunger Games, definitely. The first one is excellent and while the series doesn't (in my opinion) stay excellent, the first is great and 100% worth the read.
Picked up Inheritance since I want to go ahead and finish up that series. This could take a while - really long high fantasy yay.
I started reading Jurassic Park a few weeks ago, but I seem to have lost my copy. :( I liked what I read, aside from all of the character-hopping.
Jurassic Park!! ♥ That's one of my absolute favourite books. The character hopping is a little off-putting... especially trying to keep track of them all... but it's kind of necessary for the pacing. Regardless, it's excellent. If you lived near me I'd totally lend you one of my two copies. :P I haven't read anything in over a month, oops. I started The Hobbit the other month and I can't stand it. I know, I know. Masterpiece and all that. It's just not my thing. I didn't like Lord of the Rings either. I just really want to read it before the movie comes out later this year. It's such a chore to get through for me, though, that I won't let myself read anything else until I finish it (or else I never will) and now I'm totally behind on my reading goals.
I've read The Hobbit several times. I don't think I actually like it though. I always read it going "I'm going to read through Lord of the Rings! " I trudge through Hobbit and then I get to Fellowship and basically "ugh, screw this". XD And yay Jurassic Park
The beginning of Fellowship is unbearable. The series picks up a lot more later on though. You guys need to tough it out. :P
I've read so many books in my lifetime that I can't keep track of them all. The only person I know that has read more than me is my wife and she reads series like they're nothing. Series I've really enjoyed... hmm... well, anything Star Trek is good. I read a ton of Star Wars when I was younger, of course... I'd love to re-read some or a ton of them some time. Harry Potter series was excellent, as well as the Hunger Games trilogy. :3
Hey, I've read through all of LotR! In my opinion, Fellowship is the best. It's the only one I even slightly enjoyed reading. Everything after it was such a chore and by the time I was on RotK, I was skipping pages at a time whenever I'd see a song or a ridiculously long description. :P
Oh come on, did everyone stop reading or something? Right now I'm about halfway through Insurgent - it's okay but I'm not sure this is going to wind up being one of my favorite series. Not sure what I'll read after this either - I'd like to re-read LotR since it's been a few years but I want to get a nice hardcover set since my paperbacks are well-worn. It's a lot of cash but I want to own a nice set of the series.
I stopped reading, yes No time. Was reading Casino Royale but got too busy lately. A nice LotR set, eh? How about these? https://www.thinkgeek.com/product/721a/ https://www.thinkgeek.com/product/3818/ http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/tolkien-book-store/CLP0006.htm Haven't read my set in full because I zone out after the first book of FotR (and everyone says it gets better after that, but oh well), but I have a nice paperback set where all six books (plus the appendices) are seperate physical books. Makes it easier to hold.
