Anyone here tried it? I played the demo, and even though it's just a tutorial on how to play the full game, it was enjoyable. The controls are actually pretty good for a game originally made for PC, and the visuals are just as good as the PC version. From what I've heard, the full game is pretty great.
The concept of Minecraft just doesn't really appeal to me, though I never really tried it on the PC. I just like some direction in my games and I'm not particularly creative enough to enjoy it. I might download the demo on the 360, but I can't imagine paying $20 for a stripped-down version...I'd just buy the PC version if I like the demo.
As a huge Minecraft fan with an Xbox I obviously... Oh yeah I don't have it. :( Honestly I love MC but I just don't like playing with a controller as much anymore. And honestly I could just plugin an Xbox controller to my PC. I would get it for 1.6 since it's before hunger and all that and it'd be like going back in time which would be so cool. But I could do that with the MCNostalgia mod. So pretty much I would get this if I had a bad computer that can't run Minecraft very good. The only downside to me are that I can't use my epic 256x256 texture pack and no infinite worlds. I might get this if my friend who has a sucky computer but loves Minecraft gets it and wants me to play it with him. But there is split screen which is epic.
I really want this if only for the split-screen co-op. But I only picked up Minecraft on the PC earlier this year and I don't feel like I want to pay full price for it again without even getting the full PC experience since I think Minecraft on XBLA only runs 1.6? I also don't have Gold anymore so I wouldn't be able to play online with friends who have it. :( Maybe I'll get it when they update to the point where cats are added so I can be a crazy cat lady on the 360 too.
Yeah Cherrim it is only 1.6 which sucks. But if I had somebody who could come over to my house a lot to play splitscreen with I'd probably get it.
Well, they had to re-write the whole game from the ground up in C (or something) because Java doesn't run on the 360 so I can't really blame them for being behind. XD; But it's still kind of a hard sell to me since I literally bought the game for the first time just a few months ago as it is. My brother said he wasn't interested in the game so there goes any chance I probably had of getting it. :P Oh well.
I think they plan on updating it to be equal with the PC version, but considering how the PC version itself is constantly updating, plus the constraints on updates that MS puts on Xbox Live, I can't see them ever being equal.
