I've been playing this with Geoff and another friend for the past couple days and I think it's a lot of fun. I'm not very good at these types of games, but there's always Reinhardt and Road Hog to tank a few hits due to my horrible positioning and make me feel like I'm actually somewhat maybe useful. Have you guys been playing the free beta? It's available until the ninth, and I'm considering picking up the game.
I'm really enjoying the beta. Obviously it's pretty limited in maps/modes since it's just, well, a beta, but it's a nice change from other shooters and there's a ton of variety in the heroes. I'm still trying out different heroes and seeing how they work (and which ones' playstyles work for me - even though the only one I do decently with right now is Bastion), but I may actually wind up picking it up. I'm terrible at the game, but hopefully as I learn each hero's playstyle and get used to the overall gameplay I'll get better.
Bumping this up - has anyone gotten Overwatch? I decided against picking it up at launch since it seems like what we saw in the beta was in fact the full game. As much fun as I had with the beta, there's just not enough content to warrant a $40 purchase right now. I'm waiting for a sale, or at least for Blizzard to add enough content to justify the price. They've said there will be continuous free updates, so it's hopefully only a matter of time.
