Questions, questions, questions!! What did you ask for Christmas? :B Did you pick up anything swell over Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Did you snag something on a sweet holiday-time deal? And then later.... What did you get for Christmas? Did you get what you really wanted on Boxing Day? Or if you Americans have anything similar, whatever. (Doesn't have to be limited to games, of courses, - whatever you want and whatever you got - but I thought General Gaming would be a better fit than The Lounge)
The only games that are on my Christmas list are Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix, AC4 for PS4, and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. I mostly want KH out of those - it's my "I'll probably buy this myself immediately if I don't get it" game for the year.
With Boxing Day coming to a close, I feel I can confidently post my haul for the month of December. Just before Cyber Monday, our printer went to bulky electronic heaven. Did some research on an electronics review blog I like (I found my current earbuds from them), and it happened that the office version of their number one pick (identical, but with an extra paper tray) was on sale. I added a coupon and got the thing for more than 50% off That same weekend, I ordered Apollo Justice, Captain Toad, and Hyrule Warriors. Latter two on sale, first one wasn't but still a nice price I thought. $20 new. I also downloaded Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies. Just before Christmas, I bought some spicy mayan hot chocolate mix while at the Christmas Market in the Distillery district downtown :) For Christmas, between my brother and I we got and are sharing... The above games I already mentioned as we hadn't opened them yet lol Also, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright, and $100 in eShop credit. Oh and a nice HORI GCN replica classic controller for the Wii U. It works really well. With that eShop credit I picked up Shovel Knight and Ace Attorney Trilogy earlier today. Also got a lot of chocolate and other unique hot chocolate mixes as stocking stuffers. Some nice fresh marshmallows *__* More chocolate from relatives. And money. Today, for Boxing Day, I bought a 2TB portable Western Digital USB3.0 hard drive. It was on sale and I added coupons, I managed to get it for $89. Normally $140 or so? I also picked up a 64GB usb stick for $20 Missed opportunities, unfortunately... ;___; Over Black Friday weekend, Staples had PS3s on clearance. I really liked the price but it was an in-store only thing and they said they were out of stock when I went to check it out. And earlier this month, when I was out at my office Christmas party, there was a price error for PS4s. People got it from anywhere between 30 cents and $20. Daamn. I would have loved to have taken advantage of either of those
I didn't ask for much this Christmas because I was an asshole and bought most of what I was gonna ask for in the month or two before Christmas, oops. (It's not completely my fault. Stuff kept being on sale...) Sooo what I got this year: Tales of Zestiria (PS3, preorder) Telltale's Game of Thrones (Steam) Danganronpa 2 (Vita) I'm hoping to pick up Danganronpa (the first one) at some point. That was actually what I'd asked for for Christmas but I think my brother accidentally got the sequel instead. :x The sequel is on sale on PSN, from what I can tell, and I'm reeaally hoping that means the original game is on sale too because it seems to be twice as much as the sequel everywhere there's a hard copy. >_
I got Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (PS4) for Christmas. That's the only gaming-related gift I got this year. Parents were also going to get me the KH 2.5 Remix LE but couldn't find it...but luckily I found it on sale this past weekend anyway, lol. I also got an Xbox One yesterday - details in the "last game you bought" thread.
