If you didn't see it already, watch the stage demo here. This game looked incredible today. The whole concept looks so original and the game looks fantastic. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay looks really impressive as well - the whole hacking mechanic seems like it would open up a lot of possibilities.
It was very cool but I didn't understand why when the player hacked the street lights and caused many car collisions some of the drivers started shooting him. How did they know he caused the collision?
This game has an interesting premise but I'll have to wait and see more of it closer to its release because the gameplay kind of confused me and I don't understand how the missions work... nor do I know if they'll work well. I didn't see nearly enough to decipher what the point of the game was. The blurb at the beginning made it sound really open-ended but I'm not sure just how open it will turn out to be. (Although Ubisoft, if nothing else, is very good at making things seem really open when they are in fact perfectly linear.) Also, while it looked amazing on stage, it's probably going to look like complete crap on the consoles. :( I'm pretty sure I'll be waiting on this until I have a better computer to play it on. They were part of the escort for the guy who was coming to the art show to kill him. I think. That's what I assumed, anyway.
This is a 100% buy for me, already. It's Grand Theft Assassin's Creed. Just looks like pure fun. I hope it lives up to what was shown, cause I can already see myself wasting away hours into just causing traffic accidents.
Based on some other footage I watched, that seems to be the case. People playing the demo were complaining that they couldn't deviate from what they showed in the presentation. It looks like urban Assassin's Creed. It even has assassin scenes
