With E3 just around the corner, anticipation is rising. Of course, there will be the standard fare: a Mario game here, a Call of Duty there. But what would you like to see announced at E3, regardless of how unlikely it will be? Here are my top 3: Pokemon Snap 2 for Wii U More specifically a launch title for Wii U. I mean, what better way to showcase the new controller than a picture-taking, safari-simulation game? The built-in gyroscope controls would make Snap 2 play a whole lot better than the original Snap for the N64. Plus, it's Pokemon!!! Can you think of a better way to sell a brand new console than having a Pokemon game as a launch title? The Wii U would sell like hotcakes! The first Generation of Pokemon had (only) 151 monsters and Snap contained 63; now there are 649 Pokemon. Snap 2 would 'ideally' include 1/3 of this total, giving Snap 2 a lot more value than the original Snap. For me, this is a no-brainer. DO IT NINTENDO!!! The Beatles: Rock Band 2 With Rock Band 3 introducing the keyboard instrument, I think it's time for a new Beatles game. So many songs would take advantage of the new instrument: Let It Be, Hey Jude, Fool On The Hill, Baby You're a Rich Man, Penny Lane. Not sure what the Story Mode would be this time, with the last game incorporating their most famous venues. Maybe, scenes from their movies? More venues? Idk. I just want a sequel. Bad. Mass Effect...4? Prequel? Many, many, many, many people felt the ending to ME3 was very underwhelming; the typical "That's It?!?" kind of ending. I agree, the game does end abruptly. But it doesn't bother me because ME3 was not the end of the ME franchise; it was the end of the Shepard trilogy. You made some big choices throughout the three games: save this race, abandon this one, etc. Having a game take place maybe...20-30 years later would truly showcase the consequences of your decisions and answer some questions. What happened to my squadmates? Do the Reapers exist solely in the Milky Way Galaxy or throughout the entire universe? Was peace achieved? All this would be answered in a sequel. Or maybe BioWare would make a prequel about some of the key events mentioned in ME1, 2, and 3. The Rachni Wars, the battle between the Geth and the Quarians, The First Contact War. There are many possibilities for the Mass Effect franchise.
Golden Sun 4 - The Golden Sun games tie with Final Fantasy as my favorite RPG series. They all have great stories, and they're just flat-out fun to play-- and unique, too. With that said, however, Dark Down was a slight let-down. It somehow managed to be easier than the first two games (In this case, it was a bad things), and while the gameplay was fun, the only thing that set the game apart from the GBA games was the graphics. I know that Camelot will make Golden Sun 4 awesome no matter what, but I do hope they add much-needed challenge to it, and hopefully do something to change up the gameplay a bit. Adding in a more active battle system that still retains all previous elements would be awesome. Metroid: Dread - No matter what you say about Other M's plot, I simply won't be able to believe you if you say that its gameplay was bad, too. If Nintendo could take Other M's gameplay, open it up for more exploration, and maybe enhance it in more ways (Also, take out the lame first-person search parts), it'd make for a great game. Couple that with a story that finally explains what happened to Samus after Metroid: Fusion, and you'd have an engaging game for Metroid fans. Final Fantasy X: HD Edition - Okay, so maybe this isn't exactly a new game per se, but it's still something I'm really looking forward to. FFX is one of my favorite RPG's, and having it with better graphics and maybe a few bonuses here and there would be awesome. One thing that would be great would be if they based the enhanced edition off of the international version, since it added several bosses that America didn't get.
Pokémon Snap Wii U Pretty much for the same reasons as DarkSpade93. I love the old game and would love to see a sequel. At the very least stages should based around the habitats from Generation III and ideally expanded on that idea. I'd like to see as many Pokémon included as possible. But, I don't think they'd do that. At the absolute least (although this wouldn't be enough by any means) every Pokémon that's ever been featured in a Safari Zone, the Great Marsh, or the Bug-Catching Contest should be there. They fit the theme of the game well. All the ones that were featured in the original game too, but with their later generation equivalents. So, like the first game had Pidgey, so this one should also include Pokémon like Taillow or Starly. Something from the "The Legend of Zelda" Series Something. Anything. Even if the release is far off. Nintendo has hinted at a lot of possible games lately. Majora's Mask 3D, A Link the Past Remake, a Zelda game from Retro Studios, Zelda Wii U, Zelda 3DS. Give us something. Pikmin 3 Please get this game out of development hell and release it already. New IP From Nintendo I think we'll get it. Miyamoto hinted at it recently. GoldenEye 007 XBLA I know it will never happen. But it should. The game is finished and waiting for the greenlight. It is the anniversary Bond this year. Now or never. ...probably never. Something from the "Metroid" Series I quite like Rhys idea. Mostly because I'm growing tired of retro throwbacks. If they were to go the traditional Metroid-route and not make another game like Prime, then I would prefer the style Other M had instead of another retro-throwback sidescroller.
