With all the movie news that came out of Comic-Con, I realized that 2015 is shaping up to be a huge year for blockbuster films. Here are some of the films that are aiming for a 2015 release date: The Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1) Furious 7 (April 3) Inside Out (June 19) Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18) Spectre (October 23) The Good Dinosaur (November 25) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (November 20) Jurassic World (June 12) Ant-Man (July 17) Fant4stic (August 7) Cinderella (March 13) Ted 2 (June 26) Terminator Genisys (July 1) The Peanuts Movie (November 6) Minions (July 10) Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation (July 31) Mad Max: Fury Road (May 15) Tomorrowland (May 22) Which of these films are you excited to see? Is there a movie you're looking forward to in 2015 that I forgot to mention?
Definitely excited to see Episode VII, especially with Abrams directing. I wasn't overly impressed with Avatar, so I can't say I'm looking forward to that very much, and I haven't seen The Avengers yet. Never seen a Bond film, and even though I'm a big Pixar fan, I found Finding Nemo slightly boring, so the sequel really doesn't interest me that much.
From that list I'm looking forward to... Inside-Out, Star Wars: Episode VII, and Bond 24 (which I'm pretty sure is "Devil May Care"?). I hated Avatar and will not watch any sequels. I didn't really enjoy the modern Power Rangers adaptation that is The Avengers outide of Stark's snark - so if Downey Jr. isn't there I won't be filling a seat. I like Finding Nemo, but it doesn't need a sequel. And if Pixar also has a "real" film out that year with Inside-Out, I think their attention was focused on that.
I'll probably end up seeing Finding Dory if my sister wants to; we saw Finding Nemo waaay back when that came out. I imagine I'll be seeing Episode VII, The Avengers, and Superman Vs. Batman with my friends also. Definitely not Avatar. The rest of the list is up in the air; most likely no to all but possibly Assassin's Creed.
Most excited for Avengers on that list. I guess I'm also interested in Dory but I... don't see why Finding Nemo needs a sequel and I'm worried it won't be good and I don't want them to ruin it. :'( Beyond that, I feel like I should be interested in Inside-Out but I hadn't even heard about it until yesterday and the short description I read... didn't seem all that great. But I know close to nothing about it so I can't really judge it at all. Nothing else on the list interests me even remotely though, haha.
I edited the list to include The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2. Is anyone looking forward to that film?
...I guess I am but I hadn't heard it was being split into two movies and the books drop off in quality so drastically that I think if they're trying to extend their movies out, I might give up on the film series by then...
Mockingjay isn't really long enough to justify two films, so I can see your point. At the same time, though, there's always a chance that they're planning on adding new scenes to the film, and hell, maybe they're even changing the disappointingly bad ending. I'd be okay with that. Oh well, I'm just excited for Catching Fire. It was my favorite of the three novels, so I'm stoked to see the film. Even if that isn't a 2015 film, lol. ^^;
