I think most of us on 4P are pretty thrifty when it comes to our game purchases. We tend to wait until games go on sale, or shop around to find the best deal. What are some of the best deals you've ever gotten on games or game-related items?
I feel like you wrote this because you knew I would reply? - Arkham Asylum on it's release day for $19 - The Beatles: Rock Band full set for whatever the price was of the Rock Band 2 basic set at the time - Wii U deluxe version with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U for I think.... $124? That's a steal! - Wii Fit Plus was free (traded in the old Wii Fit for it) - Club Nintendo stuff - Kid Icarus 3D Classics, NES Remix, The Wind Waker HD In general, I'd say 90% of our games are bought at a discount be it a sale, gift certificates, coupons, price matching, price errors - or some combination of those. But those listed above are some of the good ones that jump out in memory right now
I got several Xbox 360 games in a single day for less than $100. They were all brand new, but combining some ads with price matching from Amazon yielded good results.
I managed to get the entire Mass Effect Trilogy for around $30. I mean, for games that are that good, it's a steal!
I got my iPhone 5c from Best Buy for a dollar earlier this year, but it's now free on a two-year contract, so that doesn't really mean much. :P
One of the best deals I can remember is when an online store (that is no longer around) was doing a big clearance sale and I got Star Ocean: Til the End of Time for $2.88 and Final Fantasy IX for $0.88. Still haven't played either of them, but damn I couldn't believe that I got them so cheap.
