    An article from The Escapist

Basically he's saying that since genres are crossing lines and blending so much right now, the RPG in its traditional context is becoming less relevant in today's gaming world.

How do you guys feel about his statements? Do you think RPGs still have a place in gaming? Or are they becoming irrelevant?

RPGs certainly aren't what they used to be but this can said for all genres of video games. Genres have blended so much that it's hard to find a traditional anything.
