To be honest, after last year, I'm not really looking forward to this year's conference. >>; I am excited to see Halo 4 though, and Black Ops II, if it's shown at Microsoft's conference.
We've made our predictions for Microsoft's conference. Thoughts? Anyone have anything to add? Think we're way off on some things?
That's actually only a recent phenomenon. Pre-2010, their conferences were some of the best, if not the best, each year. Then Kinect happened.
This was essentially Microsoft's conference: "Oh god, we have no new games to announce, what do we do? Somebody get Usher! Somebody get Usher NOW!" :p
I don't think it helped that the games they did have to show that weren't Kinect-related weren't things that interest me. I mean, the Tomb Raider one looked pretty cool but I think that's the only thing that piqued my interest. Oh, I liked the South Park game, but they didn't really show any of it which was disappointing. I just liked that Trey and Matt walked out, made fun of the conference up until then, and then pretty much walked off stage again. Best part of E3.
Oh, Tomb Raider was there? I didn't know that. It looked interesting when they showed last year. I've only seen five minutes of Sony's conference and five of Ubi's. And Nintendo's pre-E3 thing. I haven't had a moment to watch anything. I haven't really seen anything - pics or trailers. I've only been exposed to some text opinions. Next weekend I'll finally have sometime to catch up on E3 stuff. Hopefully, I'll gravitate toward something, because if the little I've seen so far nothung looks interesting from anyone.
BLOPS2 was great, Halo 4 looked good, and that was just about it for me, I think. I wouldn't even give Microsoft applause for this. Kinect is ridiculous, Usher is even more ridiculous. I want games; save this casual Kinect-concert crap for a different event please.
