I've got high hopes for Sony's conference; their conferences the last few years have generally been decent. Can't wait to see PlayStation All-Stars, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and God of War: Ascension.
Everything seems spot on except for BioShock Vita and Uncharted 4. I really doubt those two will happen.
Are the Infamous games really popular enough that they'd make a third? I bought the first one but I just used it to go around the city using my shocky powers on people. I didn't actually play the storyline. But yeah, you never hear anything about Infamous... so I didn't really get the impression that it was that well-known. Also: TEKKEN! I am killing myself for news on Tekken 7, so I hope they at least announce it or something this year!
Infamous is usually considered one of their big franchises, isn't it? I mean, I'd heard of it before Infamous 2 ever came out and they made a big deal out of that. (I've only played it, however, because I got it for free after that whole PSN fiasco.)
Oh man. For the most part, I loved Sony's conference. - Beyond: Two Souls looks pretty fantastic, and not just in terms of gameplay. The visuals looked absolutely fantastic; when Jody was sitting motionless, I was genuinely creeped out. Looking forward to this game, and now I really want to try Heavy Rain. - PlayStation All-Stars looked like a lot of fun. Even though I knew it was coming, shivers went down my spine when they announced that Nathan Drake and the Big Daddy are going to be in the game. It's also good to hear that the game really is coming to Vita, god knows the system needs it. - The gameplay of Assassin's Creed III looked awesome, even if it seemed a bit minigame-ish. What really got me excited was Liberation; I can't wait for that game. I'm definitely going to attempt to save up for the Vita bundle. - Far Cry 3's co-op looked pretty nice. I doubt I'd play it that much, but it did look fun. - Wonderbook was absolutely boring. :| If it wasn't for this, I'd say the conference was a complete hit. The concept sounds interesting, but it just doesn't look all that fun. - The Last of Us looked fantastic in action. The gunplay looks like Uncharted, but it still looks awesome. I can't wait to try the game. Overall, Sony's conference was a good one. I can't wait to see if Nintendo can top it tomorrow.
PlayStation All-Stars did look pretty sweet! I might try it... but on one condition: if I'm going to go out and buy it, I'm going to need to make sure I recognise at least one playable character they have in it. So far, from all I've read and seen about it, I've had no such luck :P. Wonderbook didn't look great, but Sony automatically gets points for managing to work J.K. Rowling into their E3 conference. The Book of Spells game they displayed looked pretty boring, but I'm going to have to buy it regardless since it features new written content from JK herself lol. God of War and The Last of Us were my favourites out of the lot though! I would never actually buy or play The Last of Us because it's not my sort of game, but what they showed and the in-game dialogue between the characters seemed really well done and I was really impressed. God of War just looks like hella fun and I might actually buy it despite never buying any of the previous incarnations :P FIRE WHIPPY POWERS FTW.
The Last of Us would make me buy a PS3 instantly. I'm seriously considering it. Naughty Dog is THE company to make some nice looking, great fun games and that looks no different. New God of War looks good. That Wonderbook crap drove me up a wall. I just tuned out until it was over. If ever a reason not to buy a Move, that was it. Beyond was incredible. I loved Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy and this is a mix of those two. Looked beautiful as well.
