With the summer movie season coming to a close, what was your favourite film of the summer? Did a film disappoint you? Did you see everything you wanted to see?

I only saw two films this summer: Iron Man 3 and Star Trek: Into Darkness. Benedict Cumberbatch was great in Star Trek but I would give the slight edge to Iron Man as my favourite film. While I don't like everything about the film, the action sequences were amazing (especially the oil rig scene).

The only film I wanted to see but haven't yet is Man of Steel. Honestly, the reason I haven't seen MoS is because of the 56% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (55% on Metacritic). If it's on TV or playing on an airplane I'll watch it but not in theatres. I'm afraid it'll be a waste of money.

The film I probably enjoyed the most was Pacific Rim, closely followed by Iron Man 3. I don't think anything else I saw this summer captivated me as much as those two. (I saw them both twice in theatres. :x)

I really want to see Pacific Rim. I've heard nothing but good things about it...maybe once it comes out on Netflix or something, lmao.

I haven't seen that many movies this summer. Just Iron Man and Star Trek. Both were great, but neither were mind-blowingly awesome. I don't have a favourite.

Oh, and I saw Monsters University. Entertaining enough, but should have been a direct-to-video (or Blu-ray or Netflix or whatever now) release. Also, not a favourite.
