    It's getting glowing reviews, currently holding a 91 on Metacritic. Are there any other Fire Emblem fans here? Anyone planning on getting Awakening when it releases next week?

    All of these great reviews are really taunting me, considering I went to reserve the game the day that GameStop stopped taking pre-orders. :| I probably won't be getting it for a few months because of that - the next game I plan on saving up for is Dead Space 3 - but I'll definitely get it soon enough. I love the demo.

    I'm really torn. On one hand, I want the game and my 3DS needs some love (even if I'm kinda-sorta working on Kid Icarus). On the other hand...I'm trying to resist since I have lots of other games to play, and I know the game will eventually be cheaper.

    Enjoyed the demo, though the characters don't seem like they'll be as endearing as the ones in Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn. Those were my favorite FE games by far. Really not digging the character designs in Awakening at all.

    It's sold out like everywhere so if you want a hard copy of it, you'd better hurry and pick it up. I guess Nintendo might do another run of it because of it's wildfire popularity but I don't know what their policy usually is. I know I never really saw any of the other games in stores for much longer after their release so...

    To be fair, I'm not sure that the later English releases sold all that well. I mean, Shadow Dragon didn't do well enough for the sequel to come overseas, right? Nintendo knows that Awakening has a lot of demand, so I'm sure they'll do more runs in the future.

    I wouldn't be too terribly worried, no, but there's a chance that they'll just try to push digital download of it instead of printing more too. :(

    I actually started playing Shadow Dragon again to hold me over, haha.

    Awakening is pretty hard to find around here. I had it in my hand at a Best Buy on my way home from school on Saturday and decided against it, but then I tried to pick it up Sunday and Target/Best Buy by my work didn't have it. So I think I'll just hold out and wait for a sale or something.

    To be fair, from the horror stories I've heard from friends really into the series, four days is a long time and Best Buy probably doesn't have it anymore. :P
