What are some games you've always meant to play but just never got around to? Maybe you could never find the game in stock anywhere, you don't have the console for it, or you just don't have time. Alternatively, was there a game you wanted to play for years that you did manage to play one day? Was it worth the wait?
I've yet to play Final Fantasy VII. Or complete ANY Final Fantasy game, really XD Terrible, I know, beyond terrible even. I didn't have a PS1 or even a NES growing up, so I missed out on the franchise, basically. I managed to pick up a copy of FFXII for PS2 a couple years ago, though to my dismay it's apparently one of, if not the worst FF game (at least in my friend's opinion). It was a choice between that or X-2, and since I hadn't played X, I figured I'd go with XII. A game I'd wanted to play and managed to, recently (thanks to the magic of ROMs) is Pokemon Puzzle Challenge. Kinda like Tetris (there's probably a better example) and.. well, there's not much to the game, really, but the fact that the music was all remixes of Pokemon RBY/GSC music gave me a good nostalgia trip, at least :)
Final Fantasy anything. I've only tried the first one, which is pretty primitive, and I got bored. I haven't really got to it because in the SuperNES days I didn't know FF existed XD Then I had an N64 and not PS, so no FF there. GCN and not PS2, so again no FF. And I don't like RPGs that much. Also Kingdom Hearts! Which I really really want to play. But I don't have a PS2
Continuing the Final Fantasy chain. XD; I've been meaning to play FFVI forever. I have no real excuse for it since it's not like it's hard to obtain. I also wanna play VIII & IX but not as pressingly as VI. I just hear so many great things about VI and I wanna see what the hype is about. Another game I really want to play but haven't had a chance to is Tales of Destiny. I actually have the PS2 remake sitting in my house though and I'm thinking of playing it in the next few weeks. It'd be kind of ideal if I could beat it by the beginning of September since then I can probably give it back to the friend I'm borrowing it from since I'll be in his city then. We'll see! There's also Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and I haven't played that because it's near impossible to find. :( Generally, though, when there's a game I want, I'll pick it up even if I don't have time to play it. So a lot of things on my "to play" list, just by virtue of being unfinished games on my shelf, are also things I've always meant to play but haven't gotten around to yet.
I've always wanted to play Final Fantasy XII, but I've never had a chance. :( I keep hearing it's crap, but it looks really fun.
FFXII isn't too bad. I absolutely loved the battle system and I thought the graphics were excellent (since it was a late-era game) but the story and characters were just awful. :/ It does have a fair few die-hard fans who love everything about it though, so it's not completely hopeless. I enjoyed it, for what it's worth.
I've always wanted to play the Street Fighter games. They look fun but it also seems like if you want to be good at them you have to pull off some crazy techniques. I think I remember playing Super Street Fighter II at my neighbour's house when I was younger...or maybe not playing, just watching him play. I defintely remember Blanka and that Brazil stage for some reason. :P
I played. I think you played? I was there more than you though, so I dunno. We have a giant arcade fighter controller for the SuperNES and no fighters to use it with :x
I always meant to play the Kingdom Hearts series. Just could never get around to getting them and now it's quite late. Haha.
