Whenever I play Call of Duty, many players often get frustrated because of "campers" killing them. What exactly is a camper though? Is a camper someone who doesn't move their position during an entire match? Or is it someone who plays defensively? Also, do you think camping is an unfair way to play the game or is it a smart tactical way to play?
I define a camper as someone who sits in one position for a long period of time, not moving around and just waiting for you to run by.
That is similar to I define a camper. I say it is someone who looks down their aim of sight in a low traffic area waiting for someone to come. If you want to sit for a little bit so you can reload or because you think you hear someone is about to run around the corner, I think that is smart, tactical play and is not cheap.
I think a camper is someone who sits in a spot when no one is around, waiting for someone to come by. If you know players are coming (say you have a UAV up) and you wait behind some cover, then that is playing tactically. If you lie prone in the grass when you don't know if anyone is coming, then that is camping. There's nothing wrong with playing smart and using cover but only to a certain extent.
A camper is someone who sits in an area for a long time, using the cheapest guns and perk set ups possible. I don't consider people holding down chokepoints, or stategic areas as camping so much, especially if they're moving around that area. Camping is ok in objective matches but I really hate it in TDM or FFA
This is how I define a camper too. Just sitting in one position shooting everybody that passes by. Something that happens all the time in games like BC2.
I get campers alot on games such as COD Black Ops which is very annoying and can really ruin a game I feel. I define a camper as someone whom sits in one place all match and shoots anyone whom passes by.
