I'm a huge laptop fan. I find them much less cumbersome than desktops and just generally more convenient to use. Desktops might be more powerful, but for the purposes for which I use computers, a laptop does just fine.
What a change since I first made this thread. I still love a laptop for portability - being able to take it to work and school and surfing the web while lying in bed or whatever are things I would never want to give up. But I've gotten so that I love my desktop...it's a lot more powerful and it's comforting to know that if something breaks I can just replace one part rather than send it in for repair or replace the whole computer like you have to do with a laptop. And it should last a lot longer since I can upgrade parts as time goes on.
I like my laptop. I miss my desktop for my Steam library and Minecraft. Unfortunately I had to leave it when I moved, but it sucks knowing I can't hop on to play my games like before.
I've always preferred desktops. I like the portability of a laptop, but that's about all. I just have more power with a desktop, and the longer lifespan doesn't hurt, either.
haha, desktops. Mobile is for office folk and streaming drones, anything useful in the departments of gaming or rendering need to be built
I love my new desktop. Laptops are good for light games and such, but I'm really enjoying being able to turn the graphics all the way up and not having to worry about lag or overheating. It's beautiful, haha.
