Yep. I love LPs. I watch NintendoCapriSun, kurtjmac, and Zisteau mostly. I've been too busy lately and my feed has been getting swamped with videos.
I never undestood the point of LPs at all until Tobuscus started doing them. I had no intentions of ever playing Halo Reach so I watched his playthrough of it and started to understand the appeal. I also loved his Amnesia LP but I don't really like what he's done since then. He'll get an honourable mention from me for getting me into watching them though. Etho Does Minecraft videos in a few different settings. Very technical and uses lots of redstone. I love seeing designs and builds he comes up with. (I also watch a few other Mindcrack members but I don't subscribe to any others yet--I'll usually just search 'em every so often.) Hat Films Got into these guys because of their Minecraft stuff but I watch pretty much everything they put out. I love their banter. John Green I uhh... don't watch anything from Hank on Hank Games. I just watch John's FIFA series. Swoodily Poopers 4 life! Mindez One of my longest Twitter friends which is why I initially subbed but I watch pretty much anything he does that I haven't played before. I like his style. Nova This is the guy who got me into Minecraft in the first place! I mostly just watch his solo stuff and I don't watch most of what he puts out anymore but I still enjoy what I watch. SethBling More technical Minecraft. :P He doesn't really have an LP series, though, just a series of short clips or tutorials based on ideas he's implemented in Minecraft. wee187 Another twitter person I subbed to because we were friends and ended up watching a few videos here and there. I really liked his FF12 LP because I've never met anyone else so enthusiastic about it. XD; I think that's about it. There are a few others I follow who post clips moreso than LPs of any sort but they aren't too terribly interesting so I haven't included them.
Surprised we don't have any PewDiePie watchers here. He's a bit over the top like Tobuscus, but I can stomach him much better than the latter.
Eh...Toby tries too hard to be funny. PewDie on the other hand is just naturally insane and comes off as less forced. Toby doesn't even really get jumpy during Slender (you can tell he's faking it) whereas PewDie is naturally freaking out. And I had never really watched wee187 or Mindez before, Erica, but they both have a new fan. Though Mindez absolutely sucks at Portal. XD And you're right, I have never seen anyone so enthusiastic about FFXII holy crap.
Toby definitely tries too hard now. I haven't watched anything by him in a long time and while he was hilarious at first (I don't know if anyone else could have gotten me into watching LPs), I just find everything he does really grating these days. :[ I wanna check out Pewdie since I've seen so many people talking about him lately. Any particular series I should start with?
Sooooo, I've gotten quite a few LPers now that I follow regularly. GhostRobo Really awesome guy and he plays pretty much every new game that comes out. He has a habit of dropping games left and right though, which is mildly annoying, but I really like his style. wee187 Erica got me into watching him and since then he and I started talking on Twitter semi-regularly. Super-nice guy and I really like his commentary, though new episodes from him have gotten few and far between since he's been busy with school. OwlfoxXIII Got introduced to him when he and wee187 did an episode of KH2:FM together since they're friends offline. He plays mostly older games (OoT and FFX are his main LPs right now) but he updates regularly and he's absolutely hilarious. chuggaaconroy Just recently started watching him and I really like his stuff. He goes a bit overboard sometimes but overall I enjoy his LPs, and he plays a lot of games I'm interested in. MasterOfAudioSurf I have to mention him even though he hasn't posted a new video since September; apparently his mom is having some health issues so he's on hiatus. He mostly plays horror games - games I'd never play myself and would much rather watch someone else play - and he freaks out at the slightest provocation. His reactions are genuinely funny and I really hope he comes back soon.
I don't tend to follow LP'ers, I usually watch people who play a game and make it fun by either making a unique series or play it and mess around. A few I like to watch are; Syndicate, Yogscast, KSIOlajideBT Syndicate because he is a very good gamer, and very interesting to listen to; he makes good videos and talks about all sorts of things giving his own opinions Yogscast because they are very creative and make amazing Minecraft series. KSI because he is a joker and will do anything to make his audience laugh.
Picked up a couple others. Lately I've really enjoyed watching JoshJepson - he plays a lot of Nintendo games and almost along the lines of Chugga, except he's got his own style that's a nice contrast. And his Versus Lets Plays with AttackingTucans are absolutely hilarious - and AT is okay on his own in small doses except for the constant sex jokes, which get old after a while. StephenPlays is also good too. Really likable guy and he does a lot with his wife too, which usually results in hilarity - especially since she's way better at Zelda than he is. I follow his vlogs though, even if he gets behind pretty often.
