This is one of the few games I'm really excited for this year. It looks freaking fantastic - not only graphically, but in terms of gameplay as well. The course designs look more inventive than ever and the roster looks like a big improvement. Hopefully the online play holds up and the item balance is improved.

Is anyone else excited for MK8? Maybe we can get some people together to play online when it comes out.

I'm very excited for MK8. It looks amazing and I'm sure it will be a blast to play. However, I can't help but feel like this game means the end of F-Zero due to the addition of anti-gravity courses. :(

Mario Kart was getting stale. It peaked with the DS entry, that was the best.

I think Nintendo recognized this and from what we've seen it looks like they're producing a really polished product.

First off, it looks gorgeous! A Mark Kart game that looks amazing. Instead of pre-rendered sprites or a weird donut glaze effect, it actually looks really good. Courses and gameplay changes look inventive, although it mostly means the end of F-Zero

What'd everyone think of today's Mario Kart centric Nintendo Direct?

Didn't get to watch the Direct but caught up on the news. Game looks fantastic, the ability to destroy Blue Shells is something that's needed to happen for a long time, but Baby Rosalina is meh. I've always thought Rosalina was a boring, mediocre, bland character and I don't get why Nintendo showers so much love and attention on her, especially lately.

The free game offer is fantastic, though Europe gets a much better selection. Why does NoA suck so much lately? Seriously. The past few years, NoE has kicked NoA's ass constantly. I don't like the idea of having a digital Nintendo game though, even if it's free...especially since their account system is still not that great. I guess I'll get Pikmin 3, though I still want a physical copy.

The bundle is too expensive. Should be $299 at most. I don't care if it has two games and a Wiimote/wheel, any price point above $300 is suicidal with the Wii U's reputation. The console itself should be $200 to 250 at most at this point.

Baby Rosalina I don't mind too much. Adult Rosalina has a strong following online for some reason, so Nintendo's been trying to cash in lately. But Pink Gold Peach or whatever her name is? I don't understand the point. What is she supposed to be from? Seems really lazy.

I've seen the NoE free game list, I'd stil be picking Zelda - and I think that was digital anyway if you did the Zelda bundle, so digital doesn't bug me in this instance. I got the Mario/Luigi bundle for more than 50% off. I found Nintendoland for $12 or something. Zelda's going to be free. I'm hitting the jack pot on securing these normally bundled games lol

And with that in mind, yes the bundle is over priced. Nintendo needs to move hardware, they have great software but it's not cutting it. Move the systems and make up the difference later like the other guys do

MK8's Wii U bundle may convince me to get the system. The value is pretty good, especially after tacking on Pikmin 3 or Zelda: WWHD. I'll end up waiting though, cause this summer is gonna be my PC-building time and I gotta keep my dough for that!

Yeaaaaah. I'd rather get my PC built, but I do really want a Wii U, especially MK8. Together, they'd make a good combo and I love me some Nintendo games.
