Do you like scary games? Or are you a chicken who avoids horror games like the plague? What are some of the scariest games or parts of games you've played, horror or otherwise?

I don't find pop-up frights or gore scary. So, that's mostly why I avoid it. I like more... mind games. Like the Twilight Zone

I've never played a horror game. Not one. No Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Dead Space, nothing. I think the scariest game I've ever played is Batman: Arkham Asylum. That first Scarcrow encounter creeped me out. The one where you unzip the bodybags and see Martha and Thomas' corpses. First time I saw something like that in a videogame.

When I was younger though, ReDeads from OoT freaked me out sooooo much. The Shadow Temple as well, with the walls made of skulls and the occasional blood splatter on the floor. Really scary when you're a kid.

I'm not usually a fan of horror but I don't mind it so much in games so long as I've got people around while I play.

I prefer psychological horror to cheap frights in movies but I've never really played any psychological games. I imagine I do alright with the cheap frights because they're usually just FPSes or action games at the core and once I get over the fact that things are going to jump out at me, there's nothing scary left.
