Frankenweenie. I enjoyed it. It looked great. The ending works in the 30-minute live action short, but it doesn't work here because of the third act added into the feature-length version. Spoiler The ending would have been better if Sparky died (or rather, stayed dead when they tried to revive him with jumper cables). In the short, the angry mob sees the error of their ways and rescues the dog because it is innocent. In the movie a bunch of back-from-the-dead creatures cause havock in the city. I think it would have been a stronger movie if the dog died in the end
^ I don't think I'm going to end up seeing that since I don't know anyone who wants to go with me and I don't actually want to see it enough to go to the theatre alone. :( Saw Wreck-It Ralph with my roommates last night. It was so good!! I've been looking forward to it since it was announced and it met all my expectations. It was lots of fun to watch, especially in a packed 10:30pm showing with people who are just as nerdy as me. (Every Friday there's a huuuge line for one certain movie, usually the obvious crowd pleaser that just came out like TDK or Looper... this week it was for a Disney movie about arcade games. :3)
I went to see Wreck-It Ralph today with some friends. It's a great movie; it's essentially the Who Framed Roger Rabbit of video games.
Lol. I walked into that. I meant like... technological breakthrough, not story or entertainment or anything. You know, ground breaking. That sorta thing
Animation was pretty par with recent ventures into 3D that Disney has had. Loved the art design but I dunno if I'd say it was groundbreaking. :P
I really want to see Wreck-It Ralph but I really just don't have time to make it to the theater to see it. Might just have to wait until the Bluray comes out. ;;
