Do you pre-order games? Or do you just go pick them up at the store when they come out? I never pre-order games, except if there's a game I know I'm getting on release day and I want to get Amazon Release Day Shipping on it, or if there's a really good pre-order bonus. Usually it's not worth it to pre-order...it's incredibly unusual to miss out on getting a game just because you didn't pre-order in advance anyway. Consoles are a different story, but games just aren't that limited at release.
I've honestly never been into pre-ordering. I just don't care about the extra crap you get with it, and I'm not that eager to get the game haha.
I pre-order only if there's a bonus that it comes with that I want. I can pick up games the day of if I really wanted to even without the pre-order.
I do pre-order games if I am really, really looking forward to it. Other than that, I will pick it up when I feel like it.
Yeah. The closest place around here to buy games is a half-hour away. When I reserve it it's pretty much a promise that I'll get it on release from my parents. I have 3 games reserved all in a 2 week time frame. .-.
I pre-order everything I want. If there's a game coming out then why take the risk of waiting and them not having it? Like Forza 4 for example. Had I not pre-ordered I wouldn't have gotten my copy of the Limited Edition, they were being sold out everywhere and going for double and triple the price on Amazon and eBay. I don't see the point of not pre-ordering... you don't lose anything, the money you put down goes to the game, and if you don't get it there you can get your money back.
I pre-order when I'm certain I'll be getting a game on launch and/or when it comes with pre-order bonuses I know I'd regret not owning. Pre-ordering helps stores know how much stock to order. I've actually faced the problem of having to hit up a bunch of big box stores and more than one EB Games/Gamestop before finding a copy of a game on release day after not pre-ordering it anywhere so I try not to take the risk anymore.
