http://www.fourplaygames.com/1139/n...iddle-east-and-australia-on-february-22-2012/ Sony finally announced a release for Vita outside Japan - looks like it's coming out pretty much in the whole rest of the world on February 22nd. Pretty much the window I expected - February or March, so this falls right in line. I'm still not sure I'm getting one at launch though, it'll all depend on the game lineup.
Well, there were some good games at launch, but the upcoming release schedule is absolutely pathetic. Hopefully some new stuff gets announced at E3, otherwise Vita's going to have a horrible first year. :/
There were good games at launch? Only game I ever had even the slightest interest in was Katamari and that's not a very impressive game. Everything "good" on the horizon is a port or a remake. They'd better have a damn good lineup over the next year or this console isn't going anywhere. Sony, wtf are you doing?
Having it solely on a system that isn't doing too hot at the moment would be a kind of dumb idea. Heck, even if it was doing well right now, it'd still be a good idea to have it on as many systems as possible so that everyone can buy and play it.
Yeah, on our end. That'd be good for the gamers. I'd imagine Sony is looking for something to move the platform though? Seems like a good match to me.
Yeah, I agree that putting theirs on the handheld console to draw in the people who might not want to sit on the couch to play against their friends might be a better idea. I think putting the games on both consoles would be bad, though. Look at the difference between LittleBigPlanet on PS3 vs the PSP.
