How do you store your games? Do you keep them in their cases and line them neatly along a shelf? Put them in a CD binder? Leave them lying all over the place? Or what?

I keep all my games in their original boxes, with the manuals and inserts, and have them on their own DVD rack and a shelf in my bookcase. They're all sorted by system and each system's games are arranged alphabetically.

Mine are mostly in their boxes, although my PS1 games are in little disc folders and their original boxes are packed away, to avoid taking up space. GBA/DS carts are mostly in a small bag and PSP games are mostly in their boxes/a travel case

I keep as many games as I can in my zip-up case so that they don't break or get scratched. The cases themselves are arranged by system; furthermore, they're arranged alphabetically, and chronologically.

They're in their cases and those cases are then in an entertainment unit, organized by system and in alphabetical order.

This is a semi-recent thing. Pre-GCN and pre-DS, I just had cartridges that I would remove from the boxes because it would take up too much space. Some games had a cover to prevent dust. I'm not sure where I got those from. I think I had one for each NES game I had and maybe two or three for Game Boy and maybe five for the SuperNES. These I just stood up, organized by system and sorted alphabetically. I tried to throw in some vertical dividers to keep everything tidy.

My roommates' and my game storage. n_n It takes up most of an entire bookshelf, plus there are some games from Christmas and later strewn around because we're too lazy to put them away. Also there's a few CD-wallets of games because not all the cases ended up in this house. There are three of us so this looks a lot more impressive than it is.

Uhh... shelf goes, from top-left to bottom-right: game guides, game guides, doujinshi (mostly game related lol), stuff, drawer of gamecubes, PSP+DS+3DS games, DS games, drawer of retro games, 360, 360, PS2, PS2/PS3/PS1, artbooks, DVDs, DVDs, Gamecube/Wii. ♥ All arranged alphabetically, except maybe in some cases of series looking better in chrono order.

I take game storage seriously. I have dedicated shelving for most of my games, and those that are too unwieldy to display efficiently (like retro cartridges) get stored alphabetically in giant plastic tubs. Here are a few pics of my various shelves (and this isn't even the whole of it:-(

And this isn't even the half of it. I'll post pics of my PS1 stuff and some other things tomorrow.

You kept your GBA boxes? They take up so much space! I keep all my GBA games in a compartmentalized carrying bag

Alan's boxed GBA collection is his pride and joy. I wish I'd kept my GBA boxes...I've got a pretty large GBA collection myself, but most are cart-only.

Pretty much what Geoff said :p I have a particular fondness for the GBA and as such, I've spent a lot of time assembling complete copies of the best games for the system. It's not efficient on space, but it's probably one of the biggest collections that anyone has ever assembled and so I keep them on display as the centerpiece of my gaming library. That picture is fairly old, here's a more up to date one:

I have my boxes, just separate from the cartridges. They're stored where my console boxes are and the few NES and SuperNES boxes that I hung onto. Got lots of N64 boxes, but again separate from the cartridges.
