Oops. Anyway, how do you guys feel about this? I'm personally stoked. I've loved what I've played of the Fire Emblem games, and Awakening in particular looks really good. I'll definitely be picking up when I finally get a 3DS.
Oh come on, no one else is excited about this? I'm a pretty big FE fan and I'm glad Nintendo's still pushing the series in the West, even though it's nowhere near being one of their bigger franchises. The whole DLC thing with Awakening makes me a bit wary, but I'm sure the game will be good nonetheless.
I'm glad that it lets you add Marth, Roy, and Micaiah, but it does seem a bit overpriced in Japan. Hopefully it won't be as bad as Tales of Graces F's DLC, though.
DLC? Heck yes, that's overpriced. I spent 5000 yen and used a 1000 yen prepaid card (that came with my FE blue 3DS) and I've got 1800 yen left (admittedly, I did grab 3D Classics Kirby with the points though as well). I have to wonder how they'd deal with DLC outside of Japan. Most people have no idea who Alm is. :P None of the DLC is canon, by the way.
Most people had know idea who Marth/Roy were and they left them in SSB. They'll probably release them here (because I imagine porting the DLC costs close to nothing for Nintendo) but won't make a big fuss over them or anything. Nor will they change/alter the characters available.
