Well, this picture was also released. So they are going with a more French-style with the official art.
Yeah, I don't like it. :( They can't pull it off well--everything just looks blurry instead of the painterly (I guess?) look they seem to be going for. They should just go back to watercolour.
Yeah, still not pointillim, just Frenchy. If they want a water colour look, why not go back to what they did with RBY?
I don't care what style they use... I'd just like for them to work a bit harder on not making like every object that's not part of the background painting look like it's copy & pasted clip art. :P
Well, the artwork looks so much like Louisiana, so I'm like, giggling and hoping there to be a Mardi Gras parade in one of the cities or something. xD I like the design of everything shown, so far. Pokemon, people, semi-customizable characters!, and just the game in general. I'm really excited for this Fall to come. c:
Louisiana was founded by the French. So a large amount of our older buildings are French buildings, especially those in New Orleans. That street shown in the official art is basically one of the streets in uptown (rich area) of New Orleans. But instead of a mini Eiffel Tower we have a cathedral. c': So needless to say I'm excited to see what the towns look like in this game. I've always loved French architecture.
Sky battles don't make a lot of sense to me. They seem very limited. And Pokemon-Amie is basically an updated Hey You Pikachu! People want another Pokemon Snap, not another Hey You Pikachu!
...Pokemon-Amie is literally the only thing I've seen so far that makes me go "OMG WANT". Excuse you. :P
