I've only played NSMBW once, with my brother. It didn't seem THAT bad.

The 'New' series just feels uninspired. Generic worlds (forest, winter, lava, mountain, etc), Mario Party-like visuals, gimmicky power-ups. The older Mario 2D platformers are better.

why would you ever *re*play that??

NSMBU looks like it's a step in the right direction, at least. The art style is a lot better than past NSMB games.
