Really? I think I'm in the minority with that game. :( I actually thought it was decently fun. Then again, it's been a few years since I last played it, so I don't know if my opinion would hold up if I played it now.

I was excited to play it because I once had a friend who was obsessed with it and it was her favourite game. So you... aren't alone, at least.

I hated nearly every minute of it. :(

The only part I remember hating was the fight with Rosso near the end. Other than that, I thought it was one of the better shooters from the previous generation. Not great, just good.

Beat Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone today. It was gifted to me during the Steam Summer Sale so I wanted to beat it fairly quickly. :) I enjoyed it, for the most part, although I didn't agree with a fair few game design choices by the developers. By the end I was having a lot of fun though and I really hope there's a sequel.
Really? I guess I didn't really play shooters before this gen but even older ones I've gone back and played since were way ahead of DoC. I hated pretty much everything about it. As for that fight, it was super easy because there's a jukebox to buy from right in the battle arena. :P If you run low on potions, just buy more. The only fight I had an issue with was one of the final boss stages right after the point of no return, I think. (The rest of the final bosses were laughably easy.) I dunno. The game was just awful all around for me.

Beat Theatrhythm Final Fantasy today. With that, I've beaten 5 games in August which might be a record for me. :P

Beat Alan Wake in a few sessions this week. It was kind of a dumb game. I was expecting something scary but the atmosphere they set up from the very beginning was inherently safe and all the scary things happened at predictable times. It's like they tried very hard to go for psychological horror except none of it was very creepy so the only things that scared me were the sudden enemies-out-of-nowhere. So basically, just the cheap frights. Also the gameplay was pretty annoying at times. :[

I do really appreciate the game for its overall story, though. May not have been overly scary but there is literally no other medium they could have told the story in. It wouldn't work in any other medium (which is why I'm curious to see the novelizations because how the heck did they do that?).
