I finished my second playthrough of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag a few days ago. Aside from all the tailing missions, I like it as much as I did the first time I played through it (Unlike Assassin's Creed III...).

100% completed The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD just a few minutes ago.

I... think I'm done with this game for a while. It's a good game but it was a bit of a chore to get through this time around, let along 100% complete - again. I think I've just played it too many times and did a complete run on the GCN in too recent memory (a couple years, maybe. When I replayed the entire series to completion after playing Skyward Sword).

Some of the refinements were good - like the quick sail. Didn't really see a point to changing up some of the treasure chests. Triforce quest was just stupid now.

I really enjoyed the Tingle Bottles though. Made completing the figureine collection a lot of fun.

And I just completed Mass Effect 2! Once again, I was playing on and off for a few hours, but then the plot picked up and I zoomed through the rest, playing for eight hours straight. I'm just happy I had a day off today so I could get it done!

Overall, it was probably one of the best games I have ever played. The storyline was solid, it took the aspects where the first one fell short, and beefed it up. I mean, the characters actually had personalities! They cracked jokes, they had backstories, and one even sang! I could tell they put a lot of effort into the game to really polish it up, and it was so worth it. Great game.

Now I have to decide if I'm going to play Mass Effect 3 or Skyward Sword next...

I keep being too lazy to actually post when I beat something. So since my last post I've beaten...

    • Uncharted
    • Uncharted 2
    • Uncharted 3
    • Tales of Symphonia
    • Tales of Xillia 2 (finished my second playthrough to snag my Platinum trophy!!)
I really enjoyed the Uncharted games. Like, a lot more than I thought I would. Well, okay, I didn't really like the first game all that much but I was promised the series got better--and it did--so I'm really glad I bothered playing it. The second one improved on the formula of the first and the third one was phenomenal. Would've been even better if my disc had worked properly all the way through. I'd actually given up on it because it died on chapter 17/22 or something, but then my brother somehow got past that point in his own playthrough so I tried again and it worked. ;w; Definitely play this series if you have a PS3.

Tales of Symphonia... meh. I was really disappointed with the lazy HD remaster and on top of that, the game did NOT age well. It probably doesn't help that I played the game immediately after playing Xillia 2 which is the pinnacle of the battle system so far, but it wasn't just the battle system that frustrated me so much in Symphonia. The characters weren't as good as I remembered (too many of them and not enough reason for me to care about most of them), the dungeons were TERRIBLE (so much work for no reason... every single one in Tethe'alla was tedious and boring), and it was just such a chore to get through. I made myself finish it but I will probably never play the game again and that makes me a little sad because I used to look back on it so fondly. :( Kratos getting Ludger's outfit and Zelos getting Alvin's was probably the game-saver for me, as sad as that sounds. (Now if only using costume titles wasn't such a detriment....... sigh.)

I was scrolling through this thread trying to find the last things I posted about and saw my "it was alright" post after I beat ToX2. Hahaha, I wasn't very enthusiastic then. But like almost every Tales game, this one really grew on me. I beat my second playthrough the other day and got my Platinum trophy for the game... just in time to do it all over again in English, haha. (I'd like to say now that I won't be doing Platinum again in English but knowing me, I'd probably be lying.)

Just finished Mass Effect 3. Terrific game, despite the terrible, no-good, godawful ending. I got the "secret" ending and did most side quests and such. Also did the From Ashes and Leviathan DLCs.

Did you see the original ending or did you download the Extended Cut? I thought the Extended version was pretty good. It provided closure and showed the outcome of whatever your last decision was, which the original didn't.

I had the Extended Cut. It was still a fairly lackluster ending though. None of the options you had to choose from were that great, though I picked the one that seemed like it would be the best solution to the Reaper issue and not screw over the rest of the universe.

So since you saw the "secret ending" that means
you chose Destroy, which I didn't like. It seemed like a temporary solution to me. I chose Control. I don't remember there being any negatives with that choice.

Other than the fact that you're
basically just putting things right back as they were, except you're taking the place of the space brat. At least with Destroy you have a chance for things to go back to normal - the synthetics can be rebuilt, and you've proven organics and synthetics can have peace.

Wrapped up New Super Luigi U with my brother tonight. Enjoyable little romp, only really made fun because we we're playing co-op.
