Just finished Sunset Overdrive. Fantastic ending to a fantastic game. The game dragged on a bit towards the end though, and some of the mission design got repetitive, but I enjoyed it a lot all the same.

I finished the Mass Effect series a little while ago, and I don't think I'll be able to play another expansive RPG again. The emotional roller coaster those games send you through is intense. It's going to be a while before I pick something like that up again, holy crap.

Beat Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories HD a couple of hours ago and I'm already a couple worlds in to Reverse/Rebirth (Riku's side of the same game). I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to, and a lot more than I remembered from when I played it on PS2. That said, I'm ready for 2.5, as soon as I beat R/R and watch the 358 movie.

And double posting to say I literally just beat Reverse/Rebirth. Watching the ending cutscenes now.

Gotta watch 358 and then on to KH2!

Before Reading Week, I stayed up till like 7am so I could beat Tales of Zestiria before I had to go to my mom's house. I really enjoyed the game, despite its many, many faults. I'm just itching to be able to go back to it when I get home.

Today I beat Omega Ruby, finally. Didn't enjoy it all that much. I LOVED the part where Groudon was out and about and everything was really sunny because my Cherrim was so happy!!!!! But after that it dragged on and my team was lame because you need so many freaking HMs in this dumb gen that you need two HM slaves. :( But whatever, I beat it. Probably won't do any extra stuff. If I feel like playing again, I'll play XY. I liked it a lot more.

I'm about to encounter Groudon. I agree with you, I don't know what it is about Ruby and Sapphire but they're very uninteresting. Maybe it's because the Hoenn region is rather barren? And yeah, the HM usage in this game is annoying. I have a Barbaracle on my team, my sole Water type, and it's a physical-Water attacker (so no Surf). Which means every time I need to surf (which is a lot since it's Hoenn) I need to switch out one of my party members for a Pokemon I'm not training but knows Surf. Annoying.

Beat Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary from the Master Chief Collection last night. First time I've ever played Halo 1, and that campaign is so dull and tedious. :/

At the very least, they did drastically reduce the encounter rate in the water so surfing itself isn't terrible. But all the HMs were still so annoying. I know a lot of people didn't like XY but the fact that you didn't really need any HMs to advance the plot was amazing and really felt like progress in the series. I hate that ORAS came right after it because it meant they had to go backwards. I hope in future they add in more extra exploration with HMs but if you don't care about hidden routes and all that or just want to do it later, you can take the usual path from point A to point B with your normal team.

Another Halo down: Halo 2 Anniversary. Now on to Halo 3, which is the only of the games in the Master Chief Collection that I've actually played all the way through already. Looking forward to seeing how much I remember of the campaign since it's been about 6 years.
