Finished Metroid. I didn't want to do a speedrun since I've never played it before so I did a 100% item/upgrade play-through instead. Good game, great music. Now I'm back to just playing Pokemon Black; making new teams, altering old ones, etc.
At the moment, I'm playing the multiplayer in Gears 2, since they're having 25x XP for it until the release of Gears 3 next week. Once it ends, I'm gonna go to playing the campaigns of all three games in order (I'm currently on the first game's campaign) while also playing the multiplayer in Gears 3.
I'm about to start my second playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition which is the worst Zelda game I've ever played. The only fun thing is the Realm of Memories.
I'm playing Legend of Zelda: OoT I've never played a Zelda game before because they were always really text heavy at the start and I gave up before I could get any further xD I'm actually enjoying it It's tricky though. Already had to use a guide twice xD
I'm playing Solatorobo: Red the Hunter right now. It's pretty fun so far; the battle system is different from most games I've played, but it's fun. xD The art style is great, and the music is amazing (Then again, it's expected: it's by the same person who composed music for .hack). Believe me when I say that the game is amazing... only when you have other people to play it with, though. Four Swords Adventures might have been alright in the single-player department, but you can tell that Four Swords originally wasn't meant to be a one-player game. It's boring when you're on your own, but when you add in a friend or two, it's a blast.
I don't like the game because it's short and repetitive. Even if I were to play with friends it would still be short and repetitive. Sure it may be more fun with friends but compared to other Zelda games it's the worst in the series. Anyway, I'm done with that game now. I beat Vaati, completed the Realm of Memories, completed the Hero's Trial, and got the golden keys.
holy god. I just started playing Lost Planet 2 because my roommate bought it. I've never played the first one, but jesus this game is so dope. O__O
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories My roommates are wusses and are making me play this while they watch because it's nearly hallowe'en and I can't play Alan Wake until I get my 360 from my parents' house. It's so awful. I want to cry whenever I hit a nightmare segment because the Wii has the worst controls in the existence of consoles oh my god. Pokémon Black Roommates and I all started gen 5 games on the same day in September. One got... one badge? The other got 4. I'm on my 7th badge and gave up on the waiting-every-few-badges-to-battle thing pretty quick, lol. But I'm still going slowly since I've hit the gyms where nothing on my team is really useful so I have to train and I don't want to. xD; Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+ Wanted to replay the KH series, didn't want to replay KH1 and... kind of really wanted to play the Lion King world so I started a new critical file on this.
I just finished playing Metroid: Other M for the first time and did a 100% playthrough. I was expecting to hate the game but I was pleasantly surprised, well at least in terms of gameplay. I liked the 2.5D level design, the controls were great (aside from the first-person perspective where, for some reason, you're immobile), and the bosses were fun. Now here comes the big downside: the cutscenes. Well, the cutscenes aren't that bad, it's Samus' inner monologues that ruin this game. They essentially take this strong, iron-willed heroine and reduce her down to an over-emotional figure. For example, when Samus encounters Ridley for the umpteenth time, she becomes paralyzed with fear. Why!?! You've fought him countless times before and have one every time! Only when Ridley seemingly kills one of Samus' fellow soldiers does she muster up the courage to fight him. Unforgivable. Oh, and the game could've been longer too.
