The Microsoft Points I had bought last week were originally gonna go towards Dust, but since I ended up getting that game through a different method, I spent the points on Soulcalibur. Despite the lack of the Missions Mode, it's still a really fun game. In fact, I'd say I prefer its combat over the fighting seen in Soulcalibur V.
Bought my very first used game: Donkey Jungle Beat: New Play Control for Wii. It was $15 which I think is good.
Started playing Black Mesa last night. While I can't compare it to the original Half-Life as I've never played it, I do think it's a lot of fun, though it can be a bit on the hard side. I'm also surprised at how good it looks, considering the fact that it's a free mod from a relatively small group of people. All in all, I'm impressed. Can't wait for the Steam version.
Free mod by a small group of people that was, what, 8 years in the making? :P The quality doesn't (er, won't... since it's not very high on my to-play list right now) really surprise me much haha.
Bought Borderlands 2 today to get it here tomorrow and play co-op. I wanted to get the pre-order bonus content and this was the last chance to get it without having to pay more next month.
Bought the latest Humble Bundle... sort of for the sake of buying it. I already own Torchlight which was the only game that really caught my eye but considering how many gems I've gotten out of these Bundles that I would never have tried otherwise, I took a chance on this one. I'll check the games out when I can but for $4.50 (yay for refreshing the page every day for the last two weeks to catch it as soon as it goes up xD), it's worth it even if I don't get any games I really, really enjoy.
I own Shatter and Torchlight, so I need to take another look at the other games and see if it's really worth it, or if I should just pass on this bundle. Shatter is phenomenal though. Soooo much fun when you just need a quick pick up and play arcadey style game. Glad you're finally going to get to try it after I've nagged you to get it at every Steam sale. XD
I'm fairly certain you have never once told me to buy Shatter. I'm always game to buy indie games when they get really cheap so I don't know why I would have refused. > :(
You told me that you weren't buying any games unless they were ones you really wanted, or something like that, idk. It's been $2.49 at nearly every Steam sale.
