If Sony's entire E3 conference is a five-hour Kevin Butler speech it will officially be the best conference ever.
No, Sony's presentation will be the typical 2-hour spiel with graphs and charts and some Move demos and maybe some commercials. The other 3 hours will be apologies for the PSN outage, lol. :[
Ugh, Move demos. I wish Microsoft and Sony don't play up Kinect and Move. Just pretend that didn't happen. And then Nintendo will show up with the vitality sensor.
Because you want this, prepare for five hours of Marcus telling you to step yo game up with the NGP/Vita/Chiquita/whatever it's going to be called.
Didn't they sort of silently drop Marcus? :P I haven't seen him in any commercials lately, probably with good reason. Those commercials made me embarrassed to own a PSP.
Konami's E3 conference is tonight at 5PM PST/8PM EST. They've set up a website with a countdown clock here.
I am very excited about Mass Effect 3. It appears to be more action-oriented based on the video which may or may not be an improvement to the series but the footage was impressive nonetheless. Also excited about Assassin's Creed: Revelations. It too appears to include more action-oriented game play which is great since Assassin's Creed can get repetitive at times and the new elements can freshen things up.
Well, here's what I'm excited for so far, and why: - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. I just recently got into the Halo games (I got Reach and beat it, and I've borrowed and beaten ODST from a friend), and I have to say, I absolutely love what I've experienced. I've played a bit of the first game, and love it; the remake looks to be just as fun (If not more fun), and it also looks gorgeous. This is one of the games I really want this holiday season. - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I have, unfortunately, never played an Elder Scrolls game before. However, I recently started Fallout 3 (Which, if I'm not mistaken, was made by the same group as Skyrim), and it's pretty fun; plus, I watched the demo of the game today, and OH MY GOD it looks great. The gameplay looks fun, the setting is really neat, and the graphics are absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to play this. - Assassin's Creed: Revelations. I've been a big fan of the series ever since the second game (I like the first one, but it was kinda meh to be honest), and the story has always been one of my favorite things about the series. After beating Brotherhood, I was immediately hyped for the next game; what I've heard of so far from Revelations sounds like the story will be very satisfying. Plus, it looks like they're improving combat even more than they did in Brotherhood, which really surprises me. All in all, it looks like more of the same, but better. - The PlayStation TV. So yeah, it's just a TV... but a very affordable one, and it looks like it'll be fairly good. The TV I've had for over ten years now is finally starting to give up on me, so I'm gonna need a replacement soon, preferably a high-definition one. The 3D support and Resistance 3 are just icing on the cake. - The PlayStation Vita. Basically, it seems like a handheld PS3 without the triggers, and with a touchpad and touchscreen. I'm perfectly fine with this, especially since it'll have wireless connectivity wherever you go (Depending on what model you buy), and since the games coming out for it seem good. I'm excited for Nintendo's conference tomorrow. If they can even come close to being as awesome as they were at last year's show, I'll be a happy camper.
