Yeah. Highway 17 is a blast though. Especially the beach portions. There are some fun achievements on Xbox and Steam that you should try out.
Really hoping the Steam Summer Sale starts soon; I'm hoping that The Orange Box will go on sale so I can get all three parts of H-L2. If it doesn't, I'll probably end up getting it for 360 sometime.
Then would you like my extra copy of TOB? XD I got it as a prize for a daily achievement in the Winter Sale but already owned everything from it separately. I didn't know anyone who didn't already have it to gift it too so I've been trying to give it away for ages, haha.
Er... Yes please. ^^; If you really don't want it, I mean. EDIT: Been playing it for a while now, love the game so far. Currently, I'm in Ravenholm... and hating every second of the place. >_
I found Ravenholm more annoying than scary, to be honest. Those zombies are just a pain to take, especially since they just keep coming and ammo is so scarce.
If you've played scarier games before it, it's not bad, but the first time I went through Ravenholm, I hated it and remember being quite scary at the time. Just the sounds and ambience got to me at a younger age.
I finished the game last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it, save for a couple annoying points and parts that dragged a bit. But overall it's one of my favorite, if not my favorite, FPS campaign. Going to take a break from shooting stuff then work on the Episodes.
In the midst of it now. I think I'm on... "Anticitzen One"? So I'm getting to the end, I think. I preferred Half-Life, honestly. :( I don't like the combine. I prefer supernatural/sci-fi beings moreso than humans because humans are boring and most of HL2 has been shooting up combine who are rather predictable compared to aliens. Looking back on it, Ravenholm's been my favourite part of the game because it's entirely zombies and headcrabs and there were new zombies introduced so I was actually kept on my toes the whole time.
Started playing Episode One tonight. Hoping to marathon it before the new year - shouldn't be too hard since it's only 4-5 hours. I'm on the third chapter and so far not much is really happening - it seems almost like a placeholder. I've heard it's the weakest link in the HL2 anthology, so I'm not expecting much.
