Is there really any other reason to learn Japanese? It's not like you're going to use it in everyday life. XD
She will if she plays Japanese games every day. I'm glad I'm not really into anything that requires me to learn another language XD
Once upon a time I was one of those people... anime and games, what more do you need lol. However it is quite tempting as considering a lot of consoles (not just vita) where there's a lot of good games but they aren't imported... so unless you know japanese yourself, you'll miss out on a lot of things.
Well, to be fair, I really like the language too. I find it really interesting and I love learning more of it, even if it would have no impact on my ability to play games. I find languages so rewarding and even if I'll probably never really use Japanese in any professional or constant fashion in my life, I think it's really important to keep up with it. So it's not totally useless! Languages keep the mind sharp! :3 If only importing weren't so expensive, haha. I'd import so much more if I could afford it. But the great thing about the Vita? They have PSN which is easily accessible. It's got a much better selection of games for download than the 3DS does so I guess if I take that into account, the Vita could be a really good bargain when I actually do get around to buying one. I need to make a JP PSN account so I can actually check out their store one of these days.
Guys I'm seriously thinking about buying a Vita on Friday. They've got several bundles available for $199 - I'm leaning toward the AC:L one myself. I just hope Sony really unveils some new game releases coming out in 2013.
