Sweet, I might have to try and track some of those down when I get paid. Maybe military engagements will be replaced with more traditional pokemon battles? I can't see units of Wigglytuff squaring off in formations hahahaha
I'll definitely be trying it out at least. Looks like it could be one of those games I'd enjoy playing when I don't want to get too deep into a storyline or something.
I just really hope it gets localized. Since it's DSi-enhanced, it's going to be region locked, so even if you understand Japanese, importing is out of the question. It looks so promising, too...a real change from anything the series has ever done before.
The artwork alone seems more 'grown up' to me, and from what I've seen on Serebii about it (which is admittedly quite little), I think it looks pretty awesome. I doubt it'll compare much to the mainstream Pokemon games, as the spinoff games never really do, but I'm quite hopeful that this game should be great!
Wow, this game is actually seeing localization. It will be called Pokemon Conquest and will be released on June 18 in North America.
I like how people are complaining about the name change instead of just being thankful they're bothering to bring what seems to be a niche game over here. :P
I kind of figured they would localize it just because of the name "Pokemon" (typing game was a one-time shot for non-localization). Not surprising they're westernizing the name either - Pokemon Conquest will definitely sell a lot more than "Nobunaga's Ambition" on this side of the Pacific.
