Just to get more known, how about you make a Facebook page. I can't find one, but you can tweet and +1, so the option to like would be cool. I also would support a retro gaming section.
I've thought about it, but in my experience Twitter and Google are more effective tools for gaming sites. It's definitely something we'll consider once we get a larger member base (that's more active on Facebook than our current one).
I would love to see creative competitions such as: video montages, graphic contests and other creative ideas being put up. Not only does it gain the site a lot of recognition (such as the montages on YouTube) it will be a lot of fun to participate in.
Maybe a background with a gradient effect or even a dark navy background with a gradient effect. I just think the backgrounds needs something else basically. :P
Are you talking about on the site or the forums? If you're talking about the forums, the background has a textured pattern, at least on the light theme. But we're also going to have a new theme hopefully before long, that matches the main site. As far as creative competitions, it's definitely something I'd support, but I think we need a bit more of a member base before they'd be successful.
